Sims2 What is in your UserStartup.cheat file?

Probably this:

alias mof "moveObjects off" Move Objects Off" "Move Objects Off"

needs to be this:

alias mof "moveObjects off" "Move Objects Off" "Move Objects Off"

You might have problems with your pets free will one too cos you've missed a " at the end of the line.

Gah, copy-pasta'd those aliases from somewhere... wouldn't need those descriptions anyways...

I don't know, I just ended up deleting all my aliases from the startup cheat because they never worked. But I do just fine with typing cheats out.
