Sims2 & 3 Secret Scuba

The countdown has begun!
Four days left until the Scuba Sharing begins! My study smells of glue, I can’t find my favourite color of paint and my scissors are buried under a pile of paper. I hope your final Scuba days are at least as manic as mine! Leefish has put up a timer in the header, so every time you log on you can check how much time is left! Please share your gifts privately anywhere between the 14th and the 18th. I will distribute the participation prize on the evening of the 18th (GMT+1).

Suggestion for presentation
You have finished your gift, but how do you wrap it up? We had a discussion about this in chat;finding the balance between surprise and giving info. The below is just a suggestion, by all means do it differently if you wish to do so.
In your PM, or a separate .txt-file inside the .zip, include all the usual information such as compatibility, polygon count etc. Also tell the downloader where they can find the items in the game. As for the pictures, include one or two creative shots of a detail of the thing you made (close-up shot), so your Scubee can guess what it is. E.g. the leg of a chair, roof of the house, etc. You don’t need pictures for all the recolours for instance, after all it’s meant to be a surprise!

Sharing your gifts
We ask you to privately share your gift with the recipient first before sharing it publicly. Upload your zip-file to a file-sharing host such as Mediafire, Box, Modyourpanties or Kiri’s server (instructions to follow). Send the URL of the file in a PM to the recipient. Please send a PM to me as well, so that I can track whether everyone has finished. Gifts are for sharing, so you are encouraged to upload your creations to Leefish.nl once the Secret Scuba has finished. Please give your ‘giftee’ some time to open their goodies before you upload

Well, I went through several stylistic changes, and now it's all random-ish. I hope my Scubee likes something at least...

Will there be a "show off what you got" thread?

@Klaartje, is it the scubas who are going do the sharing for this one? I thought it usually was the santees/scubees who shared what they'd got?

Hey guys, I hope I can share on time, only I seem to have a browser hijacker which I have tried to remove, but I'm not having much luck. It's Sunday and mothers day here- yeah the probably sent this out as a lovely mothers day present. <_< We will be ringing our tech friend first thing in the morning, so my computer may be in the shop or otherwise engaged in clean up on Scuba day.

So, I think we can upload our gifts after they have been received (and shared here amongst ourselves, possibly, first.) I'm adding some 'packaging' to mine tonight

@CatherineTCJD, thanks, but what I was trying to ask wasn't if we could share our gifts but who it is who's going to do the sharing, the scuba or the scubee. Usually it's the scubee/santee, but from Klaartje's post it sounds like it's going to be the scuba. I just wanted to be clear on how we're doing this.

Lets see if I still make sense after a hen night party: I figured, the one who creates it has the final say on where or when or if they want to share it. So the scuba does the sharing. I know that GoS for instance does it differently, but I'm a big fan of searchable download databases and rather would not want them in one thread

Jo, sorry to hear about your computer problems. If you dont manage to share it before the 18th, let me know so I can PM your scubee saying there will be a delay I think we've all had our fair share of computer problems so we can relate to it! Good luck!

For some reason I thought the 18th was the first day of sending! But, really, that's ok because I work best under pressure. I think. I hope! OMG. *has nervous breakdown*
