Hi there,
I've been reading through a lot of these things - and am eager to try some of these solutions, but also nervous that I (not terribly technical) will mess it up and ruin my game.
I currently had to reinstall windows 10 on my pc after a power outage and now my sims 2 game is filled with flashing pink textures, and the sims load into lots (when it loads) in flashing pink t poses as well.
I was able to change my resolution and get smooth shading on... but that's about as far as I've got. Also, I play on an ultrawide monitor and use windows 10 and this is my videocard card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 ti
I am currently trying to figure out the full editor to find the log.

I was updating my post when it was deleted.
I use windows 10. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti.
Title says what the problem is.
Here are pictures of the issue.

I do not know how to find this log file. I hope my post isn't deleted because of that. i do not understand where it is located and am happy to explain, or if someone can further clarify where this is for me I can find it and edit and update post.

It was NOT deleted. It was hidden, because the spam detection system found it suspicious. Think nothing of it.

Hello HelmySims,
Not sure if you have your game already running again, but modthesims has a thread that describes a possible fix for your problem (possible, not certain):
http://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=633003
Without what is described in this thread my game won't even start, but it was aimed at solving the flashing pink texture problem.
