My game keeps crashing no matter what i do

Yeah i think i solved the problem now, the culprit was those high-poly hair and perhaps also the thumbnail-folder it seems to go a little smoother now. It just annoying because i like alot of those high-poly hairs in my game, but if the keep crashing it they not really worth it in the end...

I agree, some of these super high-poly hairs look absolutely amazing. But the creators of those files just don't take into consideration that this game is very old, and not really made to work with such huge files. The people that use such heavy files, usually don't even play the game anymore. They just use it to stage their sims for taking pictures as illustrations for storytelling. And even for that, there are better games now.

Try running the game in compatibility mode for Windows XP or 7, updating your graphics drivers, and ensuring your antivirus isn’t interfering. If the crashes persist, consider reducing in-game settings or checking for corrupted save files.
