[split] 8GB RAM, but only 1024MB used by S2?

Hiya I'm not sure how to create a post so I've just joined this one. I recently downloaded Sims 2 Ultimate Collection and the game keeps flickering, I'm unable to change the smooth edges and shadows option. I'm not sure where the config-log.txt is in the Sims 2 Ultimate Collection and I am running on Windows 8.1, please get back to me if you can. Thank you.

Hi - I accidentally managed to delete your post with the config log.txt - could you re-attach it to your first post? Thanks.
In the meantime:
Download these two cards:
Graphic Rules
Video Cards
WHERE TO INSTALL FIXES:
In the Program folders:
\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\Config\
\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\CsConfig\
MUST BE INSTALLED IN BOTH FOLDERS
That *should* let you set the smooth edges up to max.

Before you post requesting help
Information we need
- The
-config-log.txt from the Logs folder in the My Documents\EA\The Sims2\ Click "full editor" below to attach a text file. - Your operating System.
- What the problem actually is - that will be a picture to show the problem (optional), and accompanying text files that turn up (optional), and a detailed description of what happened, and what you expected to happen.
