Game won't run Direct3d E_INVALIDARG Nvidia and Intel cards

I have a windows 10 laptop (brand new) it has an Nvidia 940mx and Intel i7-7500u. I can get the game to run with intel but not with Nvidia. It just give the Direct3d E_INVALIDARG error no matter what compatibility i run it in. It doesn't matter if i run it full screen or windowed it still won't run. (With my other computer, it ran at least in full screen.( Similar problem with that one)) I've tried the card fixes from other posts and used the graphics rule maker but none have fixed it yet.

Information we need
- The
-config-log.txt from the Logs folder in the My Documents\EA\The Sims2\ Click "full editor" below to attach a text file. - Your operating System.
- What the problem actually is - that will be a picture to show the problem (optional), and accompanying text files that turn up (optional), and a detailed description of what happened, and what you expected to happen.
