Direct 3d returned an error out of video memory - not able to play without crashing

Hey, I'm having this issue as well. I have a brand new computer with a great graphics card and 8gb ram. I tried doing TheJessaChannel's tutorial about the memory allocation fix, but that isn't working and made my game unplayable...So I have reinstalled it, but the crashes are consistent. They happen completely randomly, not due to any specific action. Have you figured out how to fix the issue? I make machinima so I'm desperately trying to get this to work, it would suck to not be able to run my game successfully on this brand new computer =(

-config-log.txt from the Logs folder in the My Documents\EA\The Sims2\ Click "full editor" below to attach a text file. - Your operating System.
- What the problem actually is - that will be a picture to show the problem (optional), and accompanying text files that turn up (optional), and a detailed description of what happened, and what you expected to happen.
