Cant get past Create a Sim

Hi, I've installed sims 2 on windows 10 by disk. No issues running the game runs really smooth, better than when I used to play on older pcs but when I enter a town and try to create a family the game goes to the loading screen and then nothing happens. Can anyone please help me?? Thanks

If you are struggling with CAS try loading it with no cc and see what happens.

Indeed, most of the time when CAS will not advance beyond the loading screen, it is because some CC outfit (downloaded clothing) is causing problems. Disabling CC is the first test to check if this might be the case here.

Information we need
- The
-config-log.txt from the Logs folder in the My Documents\EA\The Sims2\ Click "full editor" below to attach a text file. - Your operating System.
- What the problem actually is - that will be a picture to show the problem (optional), and accompanying text files that turn up (optional), and a detailed description of what happened, and what you expected to happen.
