Hello,

I apologize if this is the wrong place to post this, but I didn't know how else to post my problem. I'm still kind of new here. About a year ago, I had somewhat of the same problem with my Sims 2 Ultimate Collection game. I went back and tried to fix it myself, but had no luck at all.

I still have the same laptop. A Compaq Presario CQ57 Windows 10

Whenever I try to create a Sim, I get maybe halfway through it and then I hear a beeping noise on my computer and on my start screen It reads

The Sims 2 Mansion and Garden Stuff
The application has crashed. The application will now terminate.

Any feedback or help will be much appreciated! Thank you in advance! Smile

@ff7fan

What did you do to try and fix it?

These are the cards that you should use:

Graphic Rules - Intel
Video Graphics - Intel - 0106

Install them in the Program folders:

\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\Config\
\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\CsConfig\
MUST BE INSTALLED IN BOTH FOLDERS

Now I notice that you've got smooth edges set to on, but you haven't got the CPU to do the smoothing on your machine.

You have
CPU: 2095.800048Mhz, Name:GenuineIntel, FPU:1, MMX:1

You need - 3000 to run with smooth edges on.

In the meantime, when your game crashes, does it create a Sims2Exception text file in the log folder? If it has, please attach it to this thread.
