I sincerely hope that everything works out with your power. I never had banking issues in Japan, but within the first 2 months of living in the US I ran into multiple banking issues. Banks can be really horrid. I'm sorry that they were unable/unwilling to help you.

Banks are evil, power hungry, capitalist companies. Switch to a credit union.

Jones, I truly hope things turn around quickly, and that you don't have to wait until the 28th.

Though, I am glad to hear that you all are doing ok in the meantime.

Went to the bank today to talk to the manager...still have to wait till Thursday. He did, however, at least call Principal (the 401K company) to try to verify funds, but Principal doesn't verify funds. So still grrrr.
