Hi it seems I have a card not shown on the first post. This is for windows 8 and the new Sims 2 Ultimate Collection.

I can only get 800x600 no other option and smooth edges is greyed out I got smooth edges to work by following the other post.

Marka - this one should work for you - I did it for Hatabear, but it is just as relevant for yours.

Download fix

It needs to go in the M&G set of folders - see step 2 for exact location.

You may need to reduce the shadows for the Sim - but lets get the thing working first.

Thanks you are a god send to the Sims community, that part works but yes I do have the shadows when the settings were on high but it now allows me to set them to med and there gone.

I got the sims 2 ultimate collection thing.So I thought that would help.But no my game still flickers.I looked at my graphics thing in the sims 2 it says my graphics card is unsupported.
Help?I really wanna play.

Toradora - I need your config-log.txt to be able to help you.

When we've got it all sorted out, yes.

OK - the card you need is the Intel Fix

when you uncompress them - put them into the following folders.
\Origin Games\Fun with Pets\Mansion and Gardens\TSData\Res\Config\
\Origin Games\Fun with Pets\Mansion and Gardens\TSData\Res\CsConfig\

If you go to WinRar.com you can download a function that will let you uncompress rar files.

Once you go into your game - put your 'smooth edges' to more (max) The flickering will cease.

I just my Ultimate Edition. Can somebody give me the files I need to get the game in 1080p. Also tell me where i need to put them. I have a RADEON HD 6700 graphics card. I looked on the forms and couldn't find an easy answer. Thanks a lot!.

Before you post requesting help
Information we need

  1. The -config-log.txt from the Logs folder in the My Documents\EA\The Sims2\ Click "full editor" below to attach a text file.
  2. Your operating System.
  3. What the problem actually is - that will be a picture to show the problem (optional), and accompanying text files that turn up (optional), and a detailed description of what happened, and what you expected to happen.
