@leefish Yes I've heard of people not having any problems at all with the game even with newer computers. I'm assuming these problems are prevalent for laptops only, perhaps. And woah I'm actually surprised that you said there's no anti-aliasing too. No wonder the game doesn't look as smooth or bloomy as I used to remember it haha, but maybe that's just me. What should I do to fix this and the memory allocation too? or anything you suggest Here's my in-game graphics settings:

@leefish Maybe because I'm used to newer shiny graphics now that it doesn't look the same as it used to me haha. But yeah I'm not too keen of the idea of running games at windowed mode though but I might as well give it a try. Noob question - How do I allocate more memory to my Sims 2 to 3gb? and um, what can I do about the anti aliasing?

Your antialiasing is on max. That is what you get. Regarding allocating memory : http://modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Ga...ry_Crashes

@leefish Okay that's great to know. And about the allocating memory, is it on the Step 3 of that link? I have 8gb so does that mean I have to type "bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVA 8192" instead? does this affect all applications and games or Sims 2 only? Lol sorry I just wanna be sure so I won't mess things up.

@DiplexR just read the whole page and find the bit relevant to you.

It does say: Follow the instructions below for your version of Windows to change how much memory Windows allows to an application. Keep in mind that if you have a 64-bit operating system, this is unnecessary.
To be honest - your graphics card issue IS solved. Fixing more issues outside the scope of the graphics card is best accomplished using other sites with articles specific to your problem.

@leefish Hmm so I guess and almost positively sure it's the Ram problem now. Using only 1gb for Sims 2 UC is definitely not enough. How you get the game to use 3gb by default is really what I want to know. And I did read that part about 64-bit, but that article is for Sims 3, and Sims 2 was designed for 32-bit computers so I thought it would work eventhough my computer is 64-bit. Since this thread is about the graphics I should find solutions elsewhere but I'm still open to any suggestions here though. Thanks!
