I was going to note that there are mods to stop servos from constantly serving food, but I see that BO already mentioned his. I don't use that particular mod as I kind of like the Servo preparing food thing.

Anyway what I wanted to mention is that Servos do not have to Look like Servos, they can Look like a Normal Sim and wear any Casual Sim clothes and they can wear any Casual Sim Formal clothes.

In case you are interested here is one of mine.

If you want to know how to make one look like this. It is quite simple Use the Sim Blender to Do a Make over and choose the plastic surgery option. Then use the Blender to Age the Servo Down to YA or Teen and then Age them back to Adult. Choose something other than the default clothes with Christianlov's SimBoutique_ClothingRack or you might try and use the clothingtool from MATY, I don't recall if the clothingtool works for sure or not I think it does though. However I know that Christianlov_SimBoutique_ClothingRack works as I have used it before. Nowdays I usually use the clothingtool from MATY, but I rarely change my Sims clothes and I can't recall which one I used for my something like 4 female Servos and 1 male Servos at this point. Like I noted I don't change their clothes often.

It so happens that I have a few stony-looking and metallic-looking CC skins! They would befit an android quite nicely. Smile

But all of that Sim Blender jiggery-pokery unto Servos makes me a wee bit wary of trying it out for myself. You're sure that going through all of this won't throw any sabots or monkeywrenches into my Simming works? o_o

NOTHING is certain in the life of a simmer. One could be gripped by several bugs... Some get the fashion-bug, and only style and re-style sims clothing, while others get the build-bug, and can only build lots there-after, and yet again others are woken in the middle of the night by lines of SimAntics code, the language that BHAVs are written in.

When any bug grips you, it can takes years for you to recover and get back to playing normally... IF you ever do! And yet, you'll be perfectly happy doing whatever the bug makes you do, because you'll be convinced that it's better than just playing.

I am also quite scared by using SIMPE to mess about with sims and hoods Sad I don't want to break my hood. This is why the anygamestarter is useful, I use that to test things that I am unsure of.

On a completely unrelated note, I made a bunch of new college kids today. Smile

Pretty nice-looking bunch of young adults, right?

Don't get used to it. Big Grin

I know what you mean, @leefish. For that purpose, I usually make use of an archive program. Any 'hood that I'm testing my stuff in, is first backed up into a zip file. If the test works out OK, no harm done. And if it turns out to break stuff, I can simply delete that 'hood and unpack the relevant Zip to restore that 'hood in all it's pre-screw-up glory. Therefor, I have no fear of SimPE.

There was a time, though, that I screwed up and lost two 'hoods by wantonly dickin' around with SimPE without even THINKING about safety. Believe me, you learn fast when unsafe practices have cost you your favorite sims TWICE!

As far as I can ascertain Changing Sims around with the Sim Blender is pretty safe. A Servo is a Sim with a special Skin and altered other information as far as I know. So I am just altering the Skin, the rest of the Servos characteristics are unchanged, one can also use a default Skin that makes them more Robotic with Silver looking Skin or one that makes them look Robot Steampunk in style.

I don't add a Servo to every household, but I add a new one every so often. I decided after I looked at someone's tutorial about making them human that I would do the same. Been playing this way with Servos for couple years now, never had a problem with one of them and I think I have 6 or so at the moment.

I may add another Servo male or some more females sometime soon. It sort of depends on how many Sims I have on a particual lot as I frequently play my non-Uni households with 6 or sometimes 7 Adult Sims and up to 4 or 5 kids/Teens and also up to 4 or so Pets. It can get hectic.

You're right @lordtyger9. Servos are just sims with a special custom skin, modified motives and some different template behaviors.
Downloading a default replacement skin to make Servos look different, is one of the least risky things to do.

I suppose that that's why these Anatomically Correct Servos work as well as they're said to work, too.

(Yes, the title means what it says. You have been warned. Tongue )

Not bad, but I think they are bit more complicated than I like, I just have to use The Sim Blender and the job is done except for forcing them into casual clothes sometimes due to the Servo reverting to their default look temporarily on occasion.
