Ooh I LIKE that! Yes you should definitely keep the open space open. Very minimalist modern Scandinavian design.
Changed the default texture? I changed it to remove that offending shadow on the base. Otherwise it should be the same, as far as I remember. What are you seeing?

Well. I don't understand this at all. The version at MTS is NOT working like it should for me. The only thing that's wrong is the default base texture. It's not black and it should be. Not only that- that specific black in nowhere in my game, YET there are still the 12 recolors.
I tried taking all recolors out- no change. There is nothing else in my dl folder that might conflict with/overwrite the newest mesh.
Strange? Yep. Stranger still- putting the other version (7?) back in "fixes" the problem. Default base texture is fine, all recolors still work.
So, if the newest mesh works for everyone else I wouldn't sweat it too much fansee. It's really odd that it's like that in my game...perhaps others could try it out?

Yeah, if others could try it out that would be helpful.... I'm worried that I did something to break it when editing the lid mesh to line up with the box better. 'Cause it was actually doing something funny in my game too. You know those little thumbnails that pop up when you use the "design" tool to change the colour? And how they usually show the default colour for the part which that subset isn't recolouring? Well they weren't showing the default colour there for me. Like the thumbnails showing the recolours for the top were displaying a yellow base instead of the default black base. (Yellow is a new recolour I haven't posted.) But I tried it again just now and it's back to normal, so IDK.
The only other factor I can think of is that MLC is the only one with her furniture set in game. Could that be conflicting somehow? Or could it perhaps be an EP issue?
In any case I don't understand how the default black could be missing entirely if it's right there in the texture.
Hmm. MLC, is it possible you edited the default texture to test out how your furniture was looking repositoried to the wooden base?

I didn't edit the default texture at all. When I opened the mesh in SimPE, the textures were what they should be and were right when previewed.
That yellow texture you're talking about? I'll bet that's the texture that was showing up on the base for me. Nothing I did changed it though: took out all the recolors, DELETED the cache and thumbnails.. that yellow texture stayed.

It's impossible that the yellow texture I mentioned is the same one. I made that AFTER uploading the newest coffin (with coffin crew in its name) and it's a different yellow than the one in your pic. Plus I have not shared the new yellow recolour anywhere.

Oh, that's right. You did say you did Lack recolors @ fansee.
Ok- I've been testing things out. With just the coffin mesh and recolors, everything is fine. And that's with EITHER of the coffin meshes. To rule out something of mine screwing the texture up, I put every one of my files back in. No problems- both coffin meshes are fine. I've checked, checked and checked again- there are no test recolors or anything that might have overwritten the new coffin mesh in any way. I'm going to start putting the rest of my downloads back by folder/creator, but I doubt anything in them caused the problem.
It's very odd, isn't it? I keep thinking about updates- my graphics (AMD catalyst thingy) updated the other day and when I started the game I had to reset all the graphics options. But I don't see how any update would cause the new coffin texture problem. (I don't even see how AMD updating caused the game graphics to be set to low again..but that had to be what did it. Even though it's been updated a few times with no problems.)

Just so you know, I'm having problems typing again, so I'll probably be quiet for a few days. I can read just fine, though, so I will be listening in. That's not a threat, it's a promise.
Oh, and I checked the latest coffin in my game, and I'm happy to report nothing seems strange with the colours. (But I did note that someone didn't hit the "default lang only" button when they did the catalogue description - which means that I'm getting the original coffin description in my Swedish-speaking game...)
