I knew THAT already... the info was revealed to me when I donated I even considered calling you Frances in my latest PMs, but didn't because I thought you might object to me being that forward with you (sometimes I *do* consider other people's feelings, it seems)

For Francis Wikipedia says "Gender: Both" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_(given_name)
Can you see now? At least it's unisex lol

Depends on where I am... I don't put people in boxes depending on name, race, skin-color, religion, native language or whatever else you can throw at me. They're all equally inferior to me anyway!
(And THAT was just kidding! I do NOT have a superiority complex! We're all the same, and that's how I treat people, no matter what!) I mean: what exactly is "normal"??? Is it edible? Because then I'd like a helping of that!

It is not normal to give a girl or boy a name of the opposite sex. A Boy Named Sue?
Normal - definition
adjective
1.
conforming to the standard or the common type; usual; not abnormal; regular; natural.
2.
serving to establish a standard.
* I am not going to give up on this and accept the misspelling of my name because an ESL person decided that as the word mule is feminine in Spanish then a mule called Francis must be a girl.
He has already agreed in chat that to call a girl Francisco would be ludicrous.

Yeah, that's "normal". But how do you apply that to human beings? We're not rolling off a conveyor belt in a factory, requiring a stamp of approval, a quality check of sorts. We're all individuals, with different backgrounds, different genetic histories, different life experiences... how does one decide what's "normal" in such a jumble?
Once you define a "normal" on people, someone will have to decide what that normal is. And regardless of who makes that decision, some will NOT make the mark. Pretty soon one group will not fit the standards another group has deemed "essential" or "required", and discrimination begins. To hell with my rotting corpse if I accept that as the human way!

Lol BO.
I think if you want to have a discussion that is like this then you had better go have it on a site that specialises in navel-gazing. I just want that poor sim to have a correctly spelled gender appropriate name .
Fact: Boy cannot spell
Did I mention human beings to you? Heck - did I even ask you direct? I agree I did not quote Procter in my reply - but the question was directed at him - not you. My apologies for your confusion. But - (cannot give up on this) - in terms of giving people/sims/objects whatever it may be names - then it is usual (read normal) to give a name suitable to the perceived gender.
You may post again to have a final word if it makes you happy, cos I do love you really Over and out.
