Fixing a mod of the Debug Hug

Lol, I'm glad because after I posted that I thought you might think I meant 'as thick as a brick' and thought I better edit!

I think so, you have written up some very clear well thought out tests.

Sorry for double posting, but I read over AGS and after a couple of small hiccups can now run base Game as an Any game. Big Grin

I packaged up a base game test lot here: https://app.box.com/s/xuwdr48hffwyj1o4ww7u

Could you tell me the steps you used to clean the retirement home? I want to try and clean some myself.

Sorry for the double post. it won't let me delete this one either.

Its ok - re double posting - it makes sure it gets seen as a new post which an edit doesnt.

Okay..so sorry for how I disappeared and didn't come through with some more testing. I had to go see my dad, and I just returned last night from my trip. I'm here to go back into whatever I can do to help full steam like I was at the beginning.

Anyways..the steps I took:

1. regenerated a new game which had no cc, no hacks, etc.
2. put in the lot to be tested. I put it in a maxis neighborhood.
3. went into a maxis lot with maxis sims and tested. no bug showed each time.
4. placed the lot to be tested in the hood, went onto it, then saved, went back to hood.
5. pulled maxis sims out of their current home, and moved them into test lot. Tested, and saw the bug. Sad
6. I got out of the game, put in the LBF remove social fix, went back in, and checked to see if the simmies didnt have it anymore...they didn't.
7. I placed the affected and unoccupied lot from the bin into the neighborhood again, entered it, saved, going back into the hood.
8. I packaged it, and exited the game.
9. I regenerated another new game.
10. installed the new packaged version, tested it with two simmies to make sure it was fixed.

I hope this helps. I kept asking for someone to test the lots I believed I cleaned and couldn't get any answers on that..At least before I left for my trip.

Thanks Dominie and it's okay your dad comes first.

So if I put the fixes into my clean Any Game, install the lot, load it, save and go back to the hood then package it, it might be clean. I guess if I do that, can I send it to you to check? As I need someone with M&G to verify that that they are clean. I'll be starting with my water park as that is my best lot. It is however a community lot. I don't know if that changes things.
I thought if this shows up clean in your game I could do another lot and if that is also clean I could then go ahead and clean them all and hand them to leefish to put back up on MTS. If for any reason the infected lot infects my Any Game I can always make a fresh Any Game for every lot.

All fixes should work together and not somehow cancel each other out or some strange thing right? I just feel if I use every fix I am covering every possible base for that sneaky thing to get in. I almost feel I am dealing with some slippery vaporizing alien. Tongue

I wish I knew if any would cancel any out, but I don't have any idea. But yeah..lets work this together. I'll test any lot you want me to.

The fixes all do basically the same thing. Therefor, you don't need two. One should suffice. Even so, however, two fixes do not work against each other, and will NOT cancel each other out. It's not like an on-off switch that is flipped every time.

Wiping a blackboard clean twice doesn't bring the chalk-writing back either Smile
