Recognising Newer Graphics Cards for Sims2

Sorry Sahtom - you got lost in the other discussions.

You need to use this graphic rules card - Download Graphic Rules - Intel

And you put it in the program folders -

\Sims 2 Mansion and Garden Stuff\TSBin\Res\Config\
\Sims 2 Mansion and Garden Stuff\TSBin\Res\CSConfig\

Save your original graphic rules first.

I've done some fiddling with graphic rules (something to do with simple terrain setting)and manage to make everything work(Intel+Radeon) except snow with high-performance mode

Hi,
I am having serious issues with getting the Sims 2 to work on my pc. I got the resolution fixed (it wouldn't let me go above 800x600), and am now running window mode in 1600x900, which is what I wanted. However, I'm having graphics issues I'd like to fix and I also can't seem to get CC to show up even with it enabled etc. Since I have the CC on another harddrive (I keep my documents on a second harddrive), I am not sure if the game is having an issue with this? I was very young when I played the sims 2, so I can't remember if anything used to be needed besides enabling it in game to make it show up. Do you have time and the desire to help me out?

I'm using 8.1 latest updates. Thank you for taking the time to help me.

Ok, we have to wait for Kiri - if you are also having Graphics issues please attach the config-log.txt so Kiri can see what MIGHT be going wrong.

I tried looking for that earlier but I am not sure where it is at. Any hints please? Thank you!
