A Anonymous letter I got!!

I was like damn! when I got this letter, actually not a letter but a scribbled piece of paper under my desk, this is what I read, I dont know if its for me, but ya! I though I will share!
So what do you think of these lines?

Well, to be honest, I think its a bit grandiose and overdone.... its possible to create a mood and feeling with simple words and a good use of extended metaphor.
If its about looking back on ones past, or looking at what one has made of "life" then I think there are maybe some other poets who have said that kind of thing more lyrically yet simply. Take Macbeth's soliloquy - if thats not about the pointlessness of "life" then I dunno what is, but look at the language - very simple:

But, I believe those lines put the meaning of how you could make your life nothing, and how you could make your life everything, it signifies hope, but whatever why do you think someone would leave it under my desk?
