Smooth Edges. The graphics rules that you made for me with all medium settings I think it was with that smooth edges not grayed out. Think it was like the first or second one.
After I turned it from less to more, the flickering is gone, and so is the mass disappearing of pixels.
Happy Nama is happy. But I'm like...really?

Sorry I wasn't here yesterday, about VMware questions (this could be done for old games like Ages of Empires, Thief, Starcraft, Doom, eeeetc ...) :
Secondly, you need to check if VMware is detecting correctly your graphic controller Intel, is the only virtual PC emulator I know for doing so. It will create a VMware driver graphic display, but will use your graphics capacity. Check it out in the settings (like for the disk size), and see if "Accelerate 3D graphics" option in enabled and "Use host setting for monitors" have the same settings as your laptop.
Did VMware install you the Tools (normally needed for the USB 3.0) ? If not, click the "VM" menu at the top of the virtual machine window, then click "Install VMware Tools." This should allaow you to use de accelerated 3D options.
That's nice you could make it work in your win 8 without the flickering Send us pics of your simming !

You can go in the options and select in the new window Hard disk in the left panel and in the right panel appears the options of the disk. Click in Utilities and Expand, you can set here the amount of space desire.

My screen is set to 800x600 and I can't make it any bigger.

Thankyou for your help Ekkii - I really appreciated it.
I will be putting a description of what you did with the VM ware, to make 'if all else fails' addendum in the first post.

I've inserted the Download - AMD Radeon 7900 Fix although I have Radeon R9 270x Gaming from the first post and the scrool bar for smooth edges is active and it succesfully works. But I still have a question for you - when I move up and down the scrool bar I can't see any difference in the game - the antianalising is working but is it working on maximum ?
And one more, I know that The Sims 2 isn't optimalized for 64 bit versions of Windows, so in my config-log I can see only 4096 MB memory (thats the maximum for 32 bit systems). Can I somehow "Upgrade" it on my real memory of 16 GB ?

tokyo.dragon - can you find a diagonal edge in your picture, then take 2 pictures one at the minimum and one at the maximum.
Lee is correct. You can't upgrade it to 16Gb 4G is the maximum.

ok. Have you delete your cache files when you go in? They sit in the My documents\The Sims 2\ Folder. That often is a problem when nothing happens. The cache gets corrupted for some reason.
