Hi,
Just want to say thanks to kiri for providing this information.
I managed to get my copy of The Sims 2 working thanks to you!
My setup is a Win 8.1 machine (I would share my config-log.txt if I knew how to do it), with Intel HD 4600 on board graphics (nah, don't use it) and an AMD Radeon HD 8670M.
I added my video card to the "ATI" section of my "Video Cards.sgr":
And downloaded the AMDRadeon7900GraphicRules from the first post, edited the resolution definition to match with the maximum of my system (1600x900 max).
Smooth graphics!
Time to play
Oh, and I did set shadows to medium, as for some reason I also get the black squares on the ground instead of nice shadows.

Hi again,
I have one more "Cosmetic" problem. When I want to create a new Sim I cant see him/her because of the editing tool as you can see on the screen. Is the any chance to get it more on the right side like I mooved on the picture ?

What resolution have you got your game screen set to? That's generally a problem when you've got full screen up, and a smaller resolution than your actual screen.
Do you know how to make your game windowed?

To make it windowed, you need to add -w on your shortcut that you play from -
eg.
"D:\EA\The Sims 2 Mansion and Garden Stuff\TSBin\Sims2EP9.exe" -w
I've had a fiddle to check what's happening - and what I've said above is wrong. It appears that for screen resolutions above 1280x1024 the CAS Menu isn't pushed across the screen and so interferes with seeing the face.
So changing the resolution when you are in CAS to 1280x1024, and then changing it back again when you are playing, will fix this.
However, if you have it full screen, the game will be pulled out of shape, as it tries to fit the number of pixels on your screen. So playing it windowed will fix that.
When you play windowed with your full resolution - it is very similiar to playing full screen.
