Bodyshop Converting Sims 4/3 hair to 2

So I decided that I wanted to try converting hairs from Sims 4 or 3 to 2. I was able to get the mesh in order besides the polycount, which is astronomical for a Sims 2 game, and linked it to a recolor. I was following a few walkthroughs, but when i go to test the hair/mesh, this is what I see.

As this is my virgin run in conversions, and my 3rd time mucking around in Milkshape and dealing with meshes, I'm not entirely sure what could be wrong here. Halp?
