Just making sure we're on the same page Smile Maybe I should try putting the 16 gigs into the config for the memory levels such as low, medium, high, and unknown. Also seem to be getting other log error things but they are all blank.

@Blueangel
The other log errors being blank is usual. That means there are no errors in those files.
I wouldn't worry about the RAM memory - I have 16G Ram, but the Graphic Rules only recognises 1G - still runs like a boss. That just means that the graphic rules is not reading all of it. It doesn't mean that the game doesn't.

Going through your problems - your config log says that everything is set up correctly.

1, There is no way of turning off the fast speed completely. You can run things at normal speed all the time, just by running it at normal speed (i.e. play) also pressing '1' on your keyboard. When sims go to work or to sleep the game automatically changes to fast speed. You can turn that off manually by pressing '1'. Unless there is mod for it - which you'll need to find yourself. I don't know of one.

2. Make sure you are running the game as admin - a lot of problems occur because of that including losing anti-alias, etc. That needs to be changed on the .exe file. You'll find the details on the first post.

3. Changing the smooth edges to maximum will fix the stuttering and flickering if you have it.

4. As well as graphic reasons for the game slowing, there is CC reasons for the game slowing as well. You don't mention how much CC you have in game. Corrupt CC can cause your game to slow. Too much CC can cause your game to slow. Badly written hacks can cause your game to slow. And also there is load on the PC - i.e. what else you are running when you are playing the sims. Depending on the background tasks that your machine is running, that can cause your game to slow down.

There is a very good chance that any of those reasons are your problem.

@Blueangel CC = Custom Content. That is anything that wasn't shipped with the game that has been added after installation.

I only have a few mods to it. 7-8.

LOL. I don't judge - I'm just looking at them to see if there's anything there that could be a problem.
From what I can see, your mods *shouldn't* give problems.

You don't have any recolours or new meshes in there as well?

I'm thinking at the moment that Point 2 and 3 are probably going to be your problem.

No meshes. I have tried both 2 and 3.

OK. I'm a bit stuck then. I have no idea what else it could be at this point.

What compatibility have you set the game to?
