@leefish No, I didn't see that post. I first tried the fix for The Sims 1, thinking that might work because it's the same problem I'm having, but it didn't work. Then I tried to remake a custom GraphicsRules file exactly as it says to do for The Sims 2, and that didn't work either!

@celebkiriedhel Oh jeez! I just saw that you had said to put it in both folders, I only put it in the first one. I redownload the file and put it in both folders and let you know what happens. I also just saw the post where you had asked to put the game into 800x600 mode, I haven't tried that either. I'll do that as well right now and get back to you with the results. It shouldn't take long as I've been taking my Downloads folder out with each test to reduce load time. Thanks!

@celebkiriedhel I tried running it in 800x600 and the entire screen goes black, not just the Sims 2 window. After putting the videocards file in the right places this time I ran the game and still have black screen. Here's my config-log.txt now.

- The
-config-log.txt from the Logs folder in the My Documents\EA\The Sims2\ Click "full editor" below to attach a text file. - Your operating System.
- What the problem actually is - that will be a picture to show the problem (optional), and accompanying text files that turn up (optional), and a detailed description of what happened, and what you expected to happen.
