@Zero2

You don't mention if you are using Ultimate Collection or the DVDs.

You need this Graphic Rules - Radeon Texture Fix

You need to put it in either

If DVDs

\Program Files (x86)\EA\The Sims 2 - Mansion & Gardens\TSData\Res\Config\
\Program Files (x86)\EA\The Sims 2 - Mansion & Gardens\TSData\Res\CSConfig\
MUST BE INSTALLED IN BOTH FOLDERS

If Ultimate Collection

\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\Config\
\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\CsConfig\
MUST BE INSTALLED IN BOTH FOLDERS

That will fix your low resolution problem.

@neriana , @Zero2 , hi, Graphics Rules Maker doesn't work with Windows 10 I think.

To play The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection on Windows 10: *you have to download the file provided by @celebkiriedhel here: http://www.leefish.nl/mybb/showthread.php?tid=6569
*you have to modify a few lines inside the file using a simple text editor: (be careful!)
here is a tutorial: http://simsvip.com/2014/07/20/the-sims-2...ion-guide/

@poisson @neriana Thank you to all who have tried to find a solution.

I try change Graphics Rules.sgr file as the tutorial says but still only one option.
Earlier I got it to work once but after restarting other options disappeared again...Huh

@Zero2

Can you post up a new config-log.txt with the changes in? (My guess is that it's not reading the current one).

OK. It's not using the new one. So that means one of the following:

1. You haven't put it in the right place - please double check. These are in the Program Files section on your hard drive, not in the My Documents.

\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\Config\
\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\CsConfig\
MUST BE INSTALLED IN BOTH FOLDERS

Please note - every time you do a repair or update with Origin, it will overwrite it and you will need to reinstall it. It is much better for you to start the game from a short cut that goes straight from the exe.

2. You've put it in the right place - but haven't unzipped the rars successfully?

The files need to be unzipped. When they are they will overwrite the originals - if you are asked to overwrite - say yes.

3. You used to have the DVD version, and you haven't uninstalled it.

This stuffs up the game. You will need to uninstall UC, Uninstall the DVD version, then reinstall the UC. There is a tutorial here to remove all trace of the DVD.
After you've done that, you can re-install UC, and then re-apply the fix.

Before you post requesting help
Information we need

  1. The -config-log.txt from the Logs folder in the My Documents\EA\The Sims2\ Click "full editor" below to attach a text file.
  2. Your operating System.
  3. What the problem actually is - that will be a picture to show the problem (optional), and accompanying text files that turn up (optional), and a detailed description of what happened, and what you expected to happen.

Sorry, that is a members only option
