Hello!

It’s the same sad situation: I bought a new computer, little brother wanted to have Windows 10 installed, I wanted Windows 7. He wanted to play Civilization VI, I wanted to play the Sims 2. To make a long story short: I lost and ended up with a computer running on Windows 10 and a “NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070”-graphic card.

I’ve already figured out that I have the Texture Memory-problem and since my Log-file says this “boolProp enumerateMultisampleLevels false” I’m playing in low resolution- I think.
I tried to fix it myself but I’m a little afraid I've changed something that I wasn't suppose to change. As of now, I'm playing in a smallish 800xsomething window and "smooth edges" is still frozen. But on the bright side: the water is a little less Minecraft and a little more Sims 2-like.

Hopefully someone can help me! Thanks!

P.S. I have the DVDs installed, with all three the compilation DVDs (Pets, Business and University).

@Thumbelina

You need this card:
Graphic Rules - NVidia - Texture Fix

Because you have the compilation DVD's, you will need to install them into the Fun with Pets DVDs

\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\Config\
\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\CsConfig\

Check the config-log.txt after you've installed them and gone into the game. If they've installed correctly, you'll see my name in the log.

Sorry for the late reply. I've spend the last three weeks trying to resurrect my computer, living like a hermit -the usual people do when they're cut off from the internet.

I think I've might not installed them correctly, since my config-log.txt shows <<NOT FOUND IN DATABASE>>. But with the texture-fix you linked, smooth-edges has returned and I'm no longer stuck with the smallish 800xsomething window, I think we're on the right track.
