The thing I love about the original base game hairs is that they provided a variety of looks for your Sims while each remaining quite different than the others, they also make for a good beginning step towards making your own custom content for the game by altering them.

Nothing major here just a few alterations.

4 colours + Grey
Female Child-Elder
Flipped the alpha and tweaked a part of the bangs.
Flipped the texture and made a few more alterations.
Tried to re-recreate the original maxis hair colours as best as I could.
Binned the hair for easy access.
Compressed the file with Compressorizer App.
Made with more love than the next leading brand.
