Problem in M&G: direct x 9 error

Hello,
My computer is currently installing updates right now but I have a problem. My game worked when I installed it last month. I downloaded the graphic rule maker to fix the screen size issue, and it worked. However; I started it today and it came up with the direct x 9 error . Please help!
Never mind I installed updates and it worked!

Information we need
- The
-config-log.txt from the Logs folder in the My Documents\EA\The Sims2\ Click "full editor" below to attach a text file. - Your operating System.
- What the problem actually is - that will be a picture to show the problem (optional), and accompanying text files that turn up (optional), and a detailed description of what happened, and what you expected to happen.
